Job Description
Unit Head Manage, control and sustain seamless manufacturing operations of an animal feed manufacturing unit to meet sales demand as per business requirements in compliance with safety, BIS, and within the allocated budget.
Roles & Responsibilities for Unit Head:
- Prepare and monitor production schedules from sales forecasts to meet daily sales demands. – Ensure efficient utilization of resources and materials for all departments in a unit to meet budget targets.
- Periodic Review of allocated budget and resource utilization of plant to ensure efficient operations and delivery as per business need in the short and long term while ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory norms.
- Establish new systems and drive continuous improvements and Manufacturing Excellence initiatives to reduce production cost, better quality and facilitate smooth safe operations.
- Monitor adherence to HSE standards and statutory compliance through periodic reviews to avoid accidents for compliance as per government norms.
- Ensure BIS compliance of the unit by assessing and tracking the systems and controls in force at unit to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
- Ensure maintenance of facility and equipment by collaborating with maintenance team to meet production schedule and facilitate smooth and safe operations.
- Monitor and control the expenses of unit, PVOH, OPEX and CAPEX, by regular tracking, implementing frugality to meet the predefined budget of the unit.
