Overview of IT Asset Management Analyst
- The role is responsible for the day to day management of IT Asset Management.
- The role will work collaboratively and contribute to the Service Design & Transition team that is responsible for Change Control, IT Operational
- Readiness, Availability & Capacity Management, IT Asset and Configuration Management
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
- Operational Management
- Lifecycle management of all Link Group assets and Configuration Items (CIs)
- Currency, integrity, and usage optimisation of hardware Asset
- Integration with other closely related processes and practices e.g. Joiners / Movers / Leavers, End User Computing, Procurement, Data Centre Management.
- Manages the design, development, and implementation of process and/or CMDB enhancements
- Manages the continuous improvement of the automation and maintenance of IT Assets
- Assists Configuration Management with audits and reports to ensure process compliance and the accuracy of the CMDB
- Works with CI Data Owners and other stakeholders to ensure the quality of the CMDB data is maintained and all CIs are up-to-date.
- Evaluates requests for new CI classes, CI attributes, and CI relationship types
- Defines, creates, and monitors Asset Management health reports/dashboards
- Documents the audit processes, ensures the audits take place, and any issues identified are resolved
- Defines, implements, and improves Asset data governance processes as needed
- Ensures the Asset data is managed using the approved processes
- Governance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with legal, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support Link Group assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices
- Experience & Personal Attributes
- Degree-educated or relevant professional qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Significant experience working within enterprise class capabilities
- A track record in /or proven ability in the development and execution of Hardware Asset management process’s
- Experience working with or in IT Service Management and IT Asset Management tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, SCCM,
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- ITIL V3 / V4 Foundation / practices
