Responsibilities:
As a teacher your key responsibilities are to
- Facilitate the development of children with diverse backgrounds, interests and abilities through participative classroom processes
- Encourage active discovery and independent learning
- Achieve curricular objectives for each child
- Participate in and build school processes

Subject (Any) : English, Hindi, Kannada, Sanskrit, Science, Social Science, Mathematics, Sports, Music, and Art
Azim Premji Schools:
First set of schools began operations in mid-2012 and are located in the following states (districts): Uttrakhand (Uddhamsingh nagar, Uttarkashi), Rajasthan (Tonk, Sirohi), Karnataka (Yadgir) and Chattisgarh (Dhamtari).
They see their schools as places where a child can be herself; a place that is her “own;” where she can enjoy and challenge herself; a place where she is safe, cherished and valued.
We hope to start a process of learning which our children can possibly continue for the rest of their lives.
Our schools:
- focus on children from disadvantaged backgrounds
- will eventually serve children between 3 and 18 years of age from pre-school to Class 12
- are affiliated to State Boards of Education
- have the state language as the medium of instruction – students will also learn English
- focus on health and nutrition as a critical input
- are free of cost for our students
